   Ford Mahindra joint venture will come up with many new models with power trains supplied by Mahindra, first up in the list is going to be the Ford Aspire based electric sedan.    Aspire that is currently sold in India is a sub 4-meter version to qualify for the sub 4-meter tax benifit,but there is a longer wheelbase Aspire manufactured in India that is exported to South Africa. Longer wheelbase model will be used for the electric car as there is no sub 4-meter benifits for electric cars. Details of the electric car is still unknown but is expected to be powered by a Lithium-ion battery that will make 50kw (68ps). The car will have a range of 150km and top speed of 110km/h. The car is expected to be launchrd by the end of this year or early next year and will be pri ed around 10-12 lakh.

Tata motors is offering a discount of upto Rs65,000  for their cars and SUVs for the month of May. Tata Bolt and Zest are offered discounts upto Rs65000 while Tigor and Hexa gets benefits upto Rs55,000.  2018 model of all these cars are offered an additional Rs 20,000 discount as a part of stock clearance.  Safari storm which is currently the oldest Tata model on sale can be had with discount upto Rs 50,000 plus additional Rs 20,000 on 2018 model. Tata Nexon is offered benefits upto Rs 40,000. Tiago ,Sumo Gold and Nano(production stopped) are offered benefits upto Rs 25,000.
