Hyundai Xcent launched at Rs 4.66 lakh Ex-Delhi


The compact sedan version of the Hyundai Grand i 10 i.e. the Xcent has just been launched at a price of Rs 4.66 lakh to Rs 6.47 lakh for the petrol while for the diesel prices begin at Rs 5.56 to Rs 7.38 lakh . The car is similar to the Grand i10 in terms of its mechanical, interiors and styling and is quite literally a booted version of the hatch back that has gained immense popularity and fast.

The Xcent is available in 3 variants, namely the entry, S and SX along with the added option trims called the S(o) and SX(O). As discovered at the reveal before the 2014 Auto Expo the car features rear AC vents, tubeless tyres, a cooled glove box, rear parking camera and sensors, push button start, 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a 2-DIN sound system with USB, AUX,Bluetooth and CD inputs, one touch electric trunk opening, auto folding mirrors, front airbags and ABS being offered on the higher variants.
We expected the car to get a larger engines, but the powerplants too will remain the exact same as the hatch it is based on. The petrol motor is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of around 82 hp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.1-litre oil burner that produces a peak power of 70 hp and 160 Nm of torque. The car is available with a 5-speed manual along with a 4-speed autobox as an option with the petrol models.
Hyundai claims the petrol manual will manage 19.1 km/l, the petrol automatic will manage 16.9 km/l, while the diesel will return 24.4 km/l. Under real world conditions these figures will come down by 2-4 km/l at least. The “Real family sedan” has made its global premier in India and will be available in 6 exterior colors.

Honda has showcased its CBR 250RR concept at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show. Power and performance of the new bike is still unknown,The bike is expected to make around 40bhp.The design seems to be very impressive. The instument cluster looks funky.Fuel tank is muscular.Split seat looks well sculpted. The concept is equipped with telescopic front fork and monoshock rear suspension, a petal disc brake at each wheel, clip-on handle bars and Akrapovic exhaust system.

Bookings opened for Mahindra Mojo

     Mahindra Two-wheelers will lauch the Mahindra Mojo very soon after several years of wait.  The motorcycle can now be booked at dealerships, against a down payment of Rs 10,000.  Mahindra dealers confirms that the bike will be available by the 2 nd week of October.     We’ve already seen a lot of spy pictures of near production ready Mahindra Mojo bikes being tested in the last couple of weeks .The motorcycle will also get a slightly stepped seat, with individually placed grab rails for the pillion.        The Mahindra Mojo will be using the, 300cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine with a four-valve equipped head that produces a power of around 32bhp, with peak torque of about 2.5kgm.       The Mahindra Mojo has been seen testing with a dual exhaust system. The bike will get an upside down front suspension  coupled with a rear monoshock. It will also get disk brakes in front and rear wheels.
